A Journey of Faith and Hope:
How Concord Church Shaped Candace Gray’s Life
Growing up in Denton, Texas, Candace Gray saw faith as a set of rules rather than a personal experience. That changed when she found Concord Church in 2007. While attending the University of North Texas, she had a transformative encounter with God’s love, leading her to seek a church that nurtured her newfound faith. At Concord, she found authenticity, support, and purpose.
During a season of financial hardship, Candace leaned on her faith and church community. A mission trip to Kenya became a turning point, inspiring a career change and deepening her trust in God.
One of the greatest blessings came when her brother, after years of prayer, accepted Christ and was baptized at Concord. Shortly after, he passed away, but Candace found peace knowing he had found salvation.
Through life’s ups and downs, Concord has been her anchor, shaping her purpose and strengthening her faith. “I came to Concord looking for a church,” she says, “but I found a family, a purpose, and a God who never fails.”
