Bryan Carter is the Senior Pastor of Concord Church in Dallas, TX. The mission of their church is “We Grow People.” Concord builds all of its efforts around helping people to grow to their full potential in Christ. He has served as pastor since 2003succeeding the church’s founder, Dr. E. K. Bailey, the church has tripled in size under his leadership. The church serves over 8500 members.
He is heavily involved in the city of Dallas in numerous capacities including serving on the board of Dallas Habitat for Humanity, Dallas ISD Education Foundation and Mentoring Brother to Brother. He leads Harmony Community Development Corporation, an organization committed to improving the community of southern Dallas through building stronger families and economic development. He also leads the African American Pastors Coalition, a fellowship of over seventy-five churches committed to serving and addressing key needs in the Dallas community. He has served as a member of the Mayor’s Taskforce Against Domestic Violence. Finally, he serves on the leadership team of Greater Dallas Movement Day, a gospel centered city transformation movement. Bryan has a heart for the city and works proactively with community partners to forge toward a greater Dallas. He is also a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity.
Preaching, teaching, and leadership are his life passions. Carter hosts the E. K. Bailey expository preaching conference annually. This conference is one of the premier conferences in the country for training preachers on effective biblical preaching. Hehas shared at numerous conferences, workshops, leadership events and worship services throughout the country. Internationally, he has shared in South Africa, Jamaica, Haiti and Kenya.
He serves as a co-presenter/developer for “33: The Series” a curriculum on authentic manhood published by Lifeway and a presenter for “The Art of Marriage” curriculum published by Family Life Ministries.
Bryan Carter is a graduate of Oklahoma State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education with a specialty in Science and Math and a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary where he earned a Master of Arts in Christian Education with a specialty in Family Ministry. Bryan Carter is married tohis college sweetheart, Stephanie Sadberry-Carter and has two daughters, Kaitlyn and Kennedy, and one son, Carson.
MRS. STEPHANIE CARTER
Stephanie Carter is the leader of the “31” Women’s Ministry of Concord Church. She receives great joy by serving and ministering to the women of our church and community. She leads a weekly bible study for women called, “WOW” that has grown from 400 women to 1000 women. She passionately leads the women of our church with a focus on creativity, service, relevance and biblical teaching. Her mission in life is to equip and inspire women to reach their full potential in Christ. She also has a heart for ministering to women married to pastors. She is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma with Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. She served as a teacher and instructional specialist in Fort Worth ISD for six years. She is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She and her husband, Pastor Bryan Carter are the proud parents of two daughters, Kaitlyn and Kennedy and a son, Carson.
